Responsibilities

  • Design and analog simulation of the main core blocks of a Flash memory such as Page Buffers and dependent circuitry (Y-Path, Bitline bias…) to set working windows and operation ranges.
  • Definition of conceptual NAND algorithms and settings for read, program & erase (RPE) to meet NAND busy time, power consumption and cell distribution control (PnD) targets.
  • Efficient writing & debug of NAND uC firmware code sequences to implement the RPE algorithms and meet product PnD targets, taking into account design inputs for the specific customers and applications
  • Digital, analog or mixed-mode simulations of user mode and test mode operations to confirm that the NAND meets the RPE PnD targets
  • Silicon validation of the designed blocks to check correct NAND flash functionality and PnD targets by laboratory micro-probing of silicon wafer
  • Configuration setting selection and optimization to meet the NAND RPE PnD targets through silicon measurements

Required

  • MS or PhD degree on Electronic Engineering
  • English knowledge (written and spoken)
  • EU citizenship or EU working visa
  • Availability to travel abroad for training or cooperation programs

Preferential Titles

  • Previous experience of Flash Memory design
  • Cadence Design Environment (Virtuoso)
  • PERL, TCL, Python, C
  • Elements of System Verilog
  • Simulation tools such as H-Spice, Nanosim, Finesim, HSIM, NCSIM, XCELIUM
  • Previous experience on silicon validation
